AI, Workers Compensation and The Next Frontier

Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection: 1.0 credit hour

Luke Connally is a retired combat wounded Marine who first entered the disability space as a beneficiary due to life altering injuries and then later as a claim adjudicator for the VA. He also spent time working for the Chair of the U.S. House Veterans’ Affairs subcommittee. Luke is the co-founder of Superinsight.ai, which uses AI to streamline medical-record review and analysis for disability claims, helping advocates reduce prep time and improve client outcomes.

 

 

 

 

 

Nelson Chu is the Co-Founder of Superinsight and a software engineer with more than three decades of experience. Before launching Superinsight, he spent over a decade in Los Angeles building advanced search solutions for unstructured data for companies such as Disney and Sony Pictures. Today, he focuses on building innovative AI solutions that help attorneys use artificial intelligence efficiently and responsibly.

Paul Sighinolfi, Esq. provides thought leadership, leads regulatory and policy initiatives, and provides meaningful strategic direction and insight at Ametros. Prior to Ametros, Paul was the Executive Director and Chairman of the Maine Workers’ Compensation Board. Previously, he was a partner at Rudman & Winchell, where he was a member of the firm’s litigation department and directed the workers’ compensation practice group. In his practice he represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and coauthored Maine Employment Guide: Workers’ Compensation. Paul was a member and Chair of the Board of Bar Overseers, an appointment by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Paul was also appointed to the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection, where he was the Fund Chair. He is a fellow of the American Bar Association, College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, was on the Executive Committee of the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrator, and served on the board of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC). Paul is also the Vice President of Kids Chance Maine. Paul earned his master’s degree at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and his law degree at the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America, in Washington, D. C.

She attended Orange County Community College and graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in political science before going on to study at Albany Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude.  Crystle secured an internship with the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board during her 3L year, where she completed the Board’s attorney training program and worked in the Administrative Review Division.  She has been representing injured workers before the Compensation Board since her 2014 admittance to the NYS Bar.
